He is without any doubt the most known artist from Salento. He came to Milan, undisputed capital of the new artistic and cultural ferment of the ‘50s and ‘60s, where he met the Italian masters as Migneco, Virgilio Guidi (who will write for him a short but facinated lines of presentation), and great master like Fontana and Franz Kline. Here he visited some major exhibitions, such as Picasso at the Royal Palace, Milan in 1953, crucial for his formation.
